A Shortened Day Because of the Wind

Received a report from my friend, "Doc," today. He launched out of West Neck about 6 a.m. and fished the southern end of the creek until around 9:15. During that time, he caught four fish, including two bass (weighing 14 ozs. and 1 lb. 13 ozs., respectively), one catfish (weighing 2 lbs.), and a white perch. Said he also had several other bites that probably were perch.

"Doc" noted that while today's weather started off decent, it turned otherwise when the wind picked up, causing the water level to start rising. He soon decided the only smart thing to do was to throw in the towel and head home.

"Saw Wayne on the water," said "Doc." "He said he had caught one small fish."

All the fish "Doc" caught came after he talked to Wayne.
