No Culling of Dead Fish in Virginia...Period!!!

Have been a party to some recent discussions about culling dead fish in bass tournaments in our state. As a result, I decided to take this matter to the man I figured would share the straight truth with me. I'm talking about Chad Boyce, a fisheries biologist with the Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources.

Chad responded thus: "Not only is that a bad practice and horrible PR, in my opinion, a CPO could easily write a ticket for 'wanton waste' of fish that were knowingly 'dead' and tossed overboard."

So the bottom line here is if you haven't been doing it, then good on ya, and if you have been doing it, you'd better hope a CPO doesn't catch you in the act.
