"Had Probably the Best Day Ever in 40-Plus Years"

That's how DMac characterized his fishing trip this past Wednesday. And given the fact he lipped 29 fish, with his best a 4.54, on those springtime favorites otherwise known as topwater frogs and plastics, I would have to agree with what he said in his latest email to me.

DMac continued by noting that he had another pretty fair fishing trip on Thursday, too. Seems he got invited to fish a private lake in Suffolk that day, where he caught only six fish, but four of them weighed more than 4 pounds apiece. And, yes, a frog again was the main course.

"Sounds like a few of the West Neck crew had a good day Saturday as well," added DMac. "The 9lber is certainly an eye-opener."

He wrapped up his fishing report this way, "Spring is here, and so are the bass...thank you, Lawd."
