June 2, 2012 Dewey Mullins Tribute Bass Tourney

Today's tourney started with some of the highest water we've seen in a while. One of the catwalks was completely submerged, and there was some water in the parking lot, too, from where it had spilled over the lip of the ramp. The other catwalk, however, still was above water, so Dewey gave everyone the "go" signal. We all launched, got our briefing from Dewey, and departed for the day's fishing.

Tournament Winners

First place among today's field of 12 boats and 18 anglers went to the team of Chris and Al Napier, with five bass weighing 12.60 lbs. They also won the lunker award, with a bass weighing 4.52 lbs.

Second place went to the team of Eddie Sapp and Paul Celentano, with a sack of five fish weighing 7.68 lbs.
