April 14, 2012 Dewey Mullins Tribute Bass Tourney

Tournament Winners

We reached another new high today, with 25 anglers in 16 boats taking part in our second tourney of 2012. Winner of the day’s 1st place prize was Steve Bailey, with a total weight of 13.77 lbs. The second-place prize went to Rob Peppers with a total weight of 13.63 lbs.; he also had big fish at 4.56 lbs., taking the lead away from Al Lemieux for seasonal lunker award. Al had a 4. 55-lb. bass, after the dead-fish penalty was applied, during the first week’s competition. Rounding out the list of winners was the team of Bob Glass and Randy Conkle, who claimed third place. All prize winners weighed five-fish limits.

Other Results
Here’s how all the other participants finished: Eddie Sapp/10.00 lbs., the team of Steve Albertson and Jeremy Gatewood/9.55 lbs., the team of Al and Chris Napier/9.09 lbs., the team of Gary Coderre and Lenny Hall/5.63 lbs., the team of Ken Testorff and Paul Celentano/5.35 lbs., Jim Bauer/3.72 lbs., the team of Bobby Moore and J. P. Twohig/2.60 lbs., and the team of Kris Hammond and Rebecca Dozier/1.37 lbs. Participating but choosing not to weigh their fish were Joe McDevitt, Wayne Hayes, Skip Schiable, the team of John Matyiko and Mark Cable, and the team of Al Lemieux and Noah Alford. Of these fishermen, there were four more five-fish limits.

The 18 anglers who weighed their fish accounted for a combined total of 43 bass crossing the scales, with a combined total weight of 85.92 lbs.

Next Event
For planning purposes, our next tourney is scheduled for Saturday, April 21. Start time will be safe light (or approximately 0630). Weigh-in will be at 1430.
